This spring we had more animals on our parents 2.5 acre rural community property than its pastures could realistically handle, so we held them in their winter yards, feeding them with hay while we got ready to move them to their new home on Peaceful Valley, the 500 acre homestead our family is working on developing. They didn't like it much because right over the fence was new spring grass that they couldn't have. So, they were delighted when Cherstin took the hand scythe out to the driveway and brought them back the harvest instead of mowing it down with the lawnmower.
